Cuando aprendemos a ceder nuestro propio poder a objetos, y situaciones, nos volvemos como hojas que lleva el viento. La idea de retomar nuestro poder puede ser compleja para muchos, pero en realidad es muy simple, hay que saber desapegarnos, soltar, pues la experiencia y lo que ya esta vivido existe ahora solo en nuestro interior. Personalmente en este performance se trabajó con un objeto que tenia bastante valor personal, un cariño muy fuerte, pero también el mismo objeto tenia contenida la limitante del propio crecimiento personal. El romper ese limite de que a pesar de tener mucho apego a un objeto y romperlo permite tener un avance espiritual en otro aspecto, pues nosotros ya somos seres completes, no necesitamos de nada, aunque bien es cierto que estos objetos y situaciones son la herramienta para poder vivir y aprender, no son lo que nos define, somos mas que eso. Hay que soltar las herramientas, los juguetes, los recuerdos y los pesares, para poder ser completamente libres y poderosos. Este cuerpo no solo nos hace pensar y sentir de forma diferente, sino también nos hizo conscientes del hecho de que las mujeres pueden llegar a sufrir muchísimo por parte del hombre. Deja una enseñanza muy fuerte pues no es lo mismo creer que conocemos una situación a vivirla en carne propia. La idea de la reencarnación nos hace conscientes de que hemos habitado muchos cuerpos, tanto femeninos como masculinos, y la finalidad de todo esto es, aprender. La experiencia de vivir situaciones distintas es parte del crecimiento universal para poder ver la vida desde distintos ángulos. En este performance el cambiar de cuerpo nos revela un poco esa idea, de estar en otro papel, dejar se ser tu y ser alguien mas, viviendo y experimentando lo que sufriría alguien mas. En base al concepto que la profesora otorgó, este mismo fue descontextualizado de forma que la idea de “pintor profesional” se aplicó en otra idea. La idea de contratar a un profesional que renueve nuestra casa, nuestro hogar indica un deseo de mantener en buenas condiciones a este mismo. Hablando en un sentido espiritual, nuestro cuerpo es nuestra casa, es lo que habitamos y constantemente estamos cuidándolo, renovándolo, manteniéndolo limpio y presentable. Se trata de actos que, a pesar de parecer tan cotidianos en realidad desde un punto de vista mas profundo, tienen un significado muy importante, el aprender a ver las cosas desde otra perspectiva revela la belleza de la vida y los detalles tan simples pero hermosos de esta misma. En este performance se realizaron los actos cotidianos de lavarnos la cara, cepillar nuestros dientes, lavar nuestro cabello y cuerpo, como parte de esta idea de renovar nuestro hogar, que es nuestro propio cuerpo. Este cuerpo fue muy personal, y se trató sobre todo de una experiencia muy fuerte y traumática que dejó secuelas, pero también mucha experiencia. El hecho de haber sido presa se un trabajo de brujería que tenia toda la intención de destruir, llevó a una situación en la que la verdad fue revelada, el trabajo estaba hecho de forma que se estaba atrapado, cautivo dentro de una botella y enterrado dentro de un lugar con mucho significado esotérico. En el performance como parte de la idea doliente, se revivió esa idea de estar atrapado por manos ajenas y volver a experimentar el dolor y la desesperación. La parte que reivindica ese sufrimiento ocurre al permitir que una pequeña brecha dé paso a la posibilidad de ser ayudado a salir de esa prisión y anular el trabajo de brujería realizado, ser libre después de tanto tiempo. Existe un concepto muy importante dentro de este performance, se trata de la responsabilidad, y esta idea fue adquirida a través de los conocimientos que vinieron después de tal evento. Al final de cuentas la vida es mucho mas de lo que percibimos, y una de esas cosas que ignoramos es que somos completamente responsables de lo que sucede en nuestras vidas, nada sucede sin que estemos de acuerdo, como parte de un plan, una idea que ya esta lista para ser realizada y así poder tener la experiencia necesaria que nuestra alma requiere. Es por esta razón que el performance inicia con uno mismo envolviéndose y también con uno mismo creando la primer ruptura. Cuando dejamos que la sociedad, nuestros padres, hermanos, tíos, abuelos, la escuela, el país y el mundo nos impongan una idea sobre como debemos ser o actuar nos estamos limitando a su concepción del mundo. El hecho de estar limitados nos mantiene en sufrimiento, sufrimos por esas ideas, esas huellas que dejan sobre nosotros, pero el aprender a superar esos limites nos permite volver a nuestra concepción original en la que no importa nada mas que aceptar el hecho de que somos seres infinitos, con infinitas posibilidades. Este performance permitió que las personas impusieran sobre uno mismo su marca, su huella, pero al sabernos poderosos podemos romper las cadenas de la limitación y lo terrenal. El hecho de creernos de una raza, un género, un lugar no hace mas que encerrarnos en una burbuja la cual fue rota a partir de esta dinámica en la cual el disolver esas imposiciones nos regresa al principio de que sobre todo somos humanos, y como humanos no debería existir el odio y el rechazo entre nosotros mismos, seguimos siendo iguales. Aquí se intenta volver a mostrar el rostro del dolor y la violencia oculto detrás de un show o espectáculo para no olvidar que debemos crecer y avanzar, no iré en retroceso. La perspectiva es una enseñanza muy fuerte para la vida de las personas, y nos permite saber que tan abiertos nos encontramos a aceptar ciertos hechos, además de que también nos da pauta para comenzar a vivir la vida sin juicios, sin ideas preconcebidas por nuestra educación y nuestras vivencias. Cuando vemos las cosas desde nuestro punto de vista, nos cerramos a la posibilidad de miles de millones de formas de pensar, de ver y sentir de otras personas, pero, si aprendemos a hacernos conscientes del hecho de que cada idea es vista o tomada dependiendo de la vida de una persona, se su forma de pensar, y de como creció, como se desarrolló en un cierto entorno, entonces los juicios sobre las cosas desaparecen, y podemos disfrutar nuestra existencia en un sentido mas simple y libre de esta idea de querer imponernos sobre todo lo que conocemos. Es por esto que el performance que se realizó en video fue puesto sin audio de forma intencional, de modo que cada quien a su interpretación pueda creer lo que se esta diciendo en la grabación, y así darnos cuenta que nosotros mismos ponemos nuestra idea sobre las cosas. No existe una verdad absoluta para el hombre. Ser ama de casa sigue siendo estrechamente vinculado con el hecho de ser mujer y con la subordinación del género femenino en la sociedad. Al contrario de lo que pasa con los hombres, las mujeres al casarse ceden control sobre sus cuerpos, sexualmente y referente al trabajo doméstico, a los hombres. Desde la perspectiva de la ama de casa ser tratada o considerada como sirvienta también conlleva riesgos; el esperar que una mujer al casarse o juntarse con un hombre le debe servicios personales en la forma del trabajo doméstico y emocional pone en juego sus derechos constitucionales como mujeres. La reflexión por parte de las mujeres del hogar en torno a sus quehaceres ha llevado a una consideración más crítica sobre la definición de la labor doméstica. Se hacen borrosos los límites entre algunas actividades personales (bañarse, vestirse, comer) y en la labor doméstica cuando se toma que son las mujeres, madres y cabezas del hogar, quienes preparan el baño y la ropa a sus esposos e hijos o les presentan los alimentos de tal manera que requieren de un mínimo esfuerzo para ser consumido. Es por esto que en este performance mediante un que hacer doméstico, dejó en evidencia el adiestramiento que la mujer, por ser mujer, adopta desde muy pequeña en su crianza y como ya desde un tiempo se nos ha permitido repensarnos como seres autónomos y críticos frente al tema de la domesticación en el hogar. Nos encontramos en un “estado social secundario”; es decir indiferente, distante y sin reflexión ante las imágenes que se nos venden. Jean Baudrillard nos dice “El simulacro no es lo que oculta la verdad. Es la verdad la que oculta que no hay verdad. El simulacro es verdadero”. Entonces, decimos que el mundo que habitamos actualmente no es real, no hay un juicio de verdad y que por el contrario estamos inmersos en una constante de la imitación del mismo. Los medios de comunicación masiva han generado una “cultura de espectáculo” construyendo una realidad exagerada y manipulada, concibiendo una sociedad sostenida por el consumo. Cuando, como sujetos inmersos en un sistema social y capital, consumimos no estamos satisfaciendo una necesidad sino usado signos o, mejor, siendo usados por ellos: atrapado en un lenguaje o un código cuyo funcionamiento desconoce. Se hace evidente que o fundamental no solo es producir la mercancía sino también fabricar las necesidades, la demanda. La simulación colectiva de las necesidades hace que la producción de las necesidades hace que la producción masiva sea solo el inútil intento de recuperar de real. La sociedad de consumo alardea de ser la sociedad más libre de las que han existido, pero en realidad el consumo es solo un simulacro de libertad. Si bien, hablamos de la imitación constante es necesario ligar a este otro concepto que no es más que el resultado del mismo y es el de la autenticidad ya que esta ha sido reemplazada por la imitación (sustitutos de la realidad) realidad que a su vez no somos capaces de identificar como copia que es. Los estereotipos de la estética femenina han trascendido a lo largo de la historia dentro del contexto socio-cultural por medio de la publicidad y el marketing como sinónimo de progreso, pero en la actualidad se deja en claro cómo se afecta psicológicamente al género estableciendo paradigmas del cómo estar y ser mujer. Simultáneamente, la imagen, los imaginarios y los signos han construido la “identidad” de cada una de nosotras llevándonos a la simulación de cuerpos ajenos al propio, rompiendo esas barreras entre lo recóndito y lo superficial. Desde esta perspectiva somos sujetos sin cuerpo, foráneas en un espacio que nos moldea, nos manipula y nos modifica; es por esto que en este performance dejó ver el mi cuerpo un sin fin de otros que, desde la publicidad, se me venden y se me muestran como perfectos. El límite territorial entre Guatemala - México es el inicio de una travesía por el limbo o en algunos casos el mismísimo infierno, para llegar al lugar prometido que simula ser el paraíso; Estados Unidos. Las personas que por condiciones forzadas deciden partir, asumen cruzar a ciegas, a un mundo con aparentes posibilidades. En la travesía no se sabrá si llegaran vivos a sus destinos o los precios tan altos que tendrán que pagar. Hombres, mujeres, niños, padres, madres, hermanos se lanzan a una línea de fuego con el anhelo de no quemarse. En este performance quiero mostrar con mi cuerpo el riesgo de cruzar la frontera, representada en una línea de fuego que me lastima y quema. Con cuerpecillos de papel adheridos al mío simbolizando la fragilidad de lo humano frente a la inmensidad de la frontera misma. Se llama “Pollos” mi performance porque es el nombre que se le asignan a los migrantes que cruzan la frontera, “guiados” por el denominado “Pollero” que los lleva en fila india, como lo hace la mamá gallina con sus polluelos. A nivel personal, me anime a tomar este tema para mi performance porque conocí una migrante la cual me relató su experiencia y ver como lo arriesga todo para llevarle a sus hijos una vida mejor. En donde el amor de una madre supera el mismo riesgo o temor hacia la muerte. Este cuerpo refleja nuestro límite desde miedos externos hasta los más internos y poco perceptibles. Hemos tomado un elemento y objeto exterior (cucarachas) que refleja un miedo por otro miedo. El primer miedo es el que tenemos hacia las cucarachas, el cual refleja de manera alegórica el miedo interno al acoso callejero, el cual sufrimos las mujeres cotidianamente, ya sea verbal, visual o físico. Queriendo visibilizar en este performance la repulsión, el temor e impotencia interior a través de las reacciones de nuestro cuerpo al ser toqueteadas por las cucarachas. Los ojos vendados dan muestra de la poca importancia que se le dan a este tipo de sucesos y el ponernos las cucarachas nosotras mismas simboliza nuestro silencio en la mayoría de casos.
