Lectura de un texto que habla sobre tecnología en un formato que cada vez se va incrementando en imágenes de mí, y cada vez va disminuyendo el sonido.

La realidad que aparentamos con la tecnología acaba con la realidad. La proyección del video por medio de una imagen en tiempo real no se empata con el momento real (este se desfasa). Muchas veces el querer mejorar la fidelidad del sonido e imagen, acaba por crear otra realidad.

Se utiliza la fotografía como registro del día a día desde el primer día de clases de mi inicio de la carrera en Bellas Artes, hasta el día de la fiesta de despedida anterior al periodo de intercambio a la ciudad de Granada, España. El conjunto de poco más de 1090 fotos, que equivale a poco más de tres años, materializan el paso del tiempo: momentos de alegría, tristeza, cansancio, emoción, insomnio, cabello creciendo, maquillaje corrido, caras lavadas, ojos alegres y lagrimosos, resumen momentos que han quedado inmortalizados. Al mismo tiempo se reproduce una grabación, obtenida y adaptada del texto de Jorge Luis Borges “El inmortal” que nos convence de lo terrible que sería la inmortalidad en este plano de existencia.
La tecnología es parte de nuestra vida diaria, se ha vuelto una extensión de nuestro cuerpo y podemos inmortalizarnos a través de ella, sin embargo, lo importante recae en el tan dichoso “carpe diem”; realización y aprovechamiento máximo del ahora.

En el video me muestro como un personaje de la televisión sin camisa, puesto que simboliza el estar expuesto a diversas situaciones sociales que no podemos evitar y como personas el no tener el poder de hacer algo al respecto; acto seguido muestro imágenes relacionadas con la situación de guerra en siria, se muestra el video con puro audio de disparos de armas de fuego.
Al final del video hay una serie de imágenes de explosiones, con ellas mi intención es hacer una reflexión acerca de que todos quisiéramos que este tipo de situaciones se resolvieran o no existieran, pero más que nada es alusivo a una sanación próxima la cual todos quisiéramos que suceda; por ultimo dejo de mostrar el video, me pongo una cadena con una placa militar y desaparezco de la pantalla, con esto quiero dar a entender que por más que nos disguste o incomode dicha situación, no podremos cambiar algo si no nos levantamos y actuamos.

“No es extraño opinar que la virtualidad como característica tecnológica de la comunicación contemporánea está cada vez más enmarañada con las estructuras sociales. Es un hecho social común a pesar de las enormes desigualdades que presenta la vida hoy. La virtualidad pervive gracias a la digitalización y a internet. Es a partir de esta triple relación que lo virtual esboza distintos problemas, que no sólo remiten a dificultades de acceso, sino a esquemas de funcionalidad simbólica. El cuerpo es uno de ellos. La virtualidad tiene como facultad desestructurar el cuerpo del sujeto para generar comunicación, de ahí que el cuerpo desempeña un papel relevante en las relaciones a través de internet. Este trabajo explora las relaciones entre cuerpo y tecnología utilizando a la virtualidad como vértice de reflexión.” José Alberto Sánchez Martínez (CUERPO Y TECNOLOGÍA La virtualidad como espacio de acción contemporánea). En el siglo XXI, la tecnología ha permitido avances colosales en el desarrollo humano ya que, siendo un artefacto de avance, cada vez nuestros cuerpos y mentes se ven encerradas y poco apropiadas de las cosas mínimas de nuestro alrededor. El cuerpo, el espacio y el tiempo tienen rupturas con el avance tecnológico; todo lo que conocemos a diario se transforma, alternándose entre la dualidad dentro de lo negativo y lo positivo, entre lo mágico y lo banal, entre lo necesario y lo opcional.
En este performance enseñamos un descontento por lo intrascendente que puede llegar muchas veces la presencia de algo cuando lo que verdaderamente lo que agudiza nuestros sentidos está en otra dimensión, portable y “asequible”. Es entonces cuando dejamos perder el tiempo, cuando se consume, que nos damos cuenta que hay una sola realidad.
