EL CORAL UNIVERSITARIO DE LA ESCUELA DE BELLAS ARTES DE LA UNIVERSIDAD AUTONOMA DE QUERETARO En el marco de las celebraciones de los “40 Años de Bellas Artes en la Universidad Autónoma de Queretaro”, que conmemoramos este año de 1993, la existencia del CO­RAL UNIVERSITARIO a cuatro voces mixtas y su sección de Coro Infantil, tiene especial significado porque representa un encomiable esfuerzo conjunto de maestros y alumnos de la Escuela de Bellas Artes de la U.A.Q. por participar en proyectos de la gran calidad que propicia la FILARMONICA DE QUERETARO. La acertada visión de su carismático director, el Maestro Sergio Cárdenas, ha logrado el milagro de involucrar a instituciones musicales que poseen la infraestructura propicia, así como motivar a maestros y alumnos para desarrollar sus facultades y participar con entusiasmo en realizaciones que anteriormente se antojaban utópicas. El CORAL UNIVERSITARIO y su sección de Coro Infantil tienen escasamente un año de integración y ya cuentan con la experiencia de haber participado en la Primera Temporada de Opera de la Filarmónica en el año de 1992 con los coros de la Opera “TOSCA” de Puccini y el 26 de febrero de 1993 comparte escenario con el Coro de la Escuela Nacional de Música de la UNAM y el Coral Soriano de Celaya para presentar el estreno mundial de la Cantata “VISION DE LOS VENCIDOS” del Mtro. Manuel Enríquez y la Cantata Escénica “CARMINA BURANA” de Cari Orff. En la actualidad, el CORAL UNIVERSITARIO continúa su trabajo serio, comprome­tido voluntariamente, incansable en la realización de nuevos proyectos, salvando barreras y escollos, motivados por un común sentimiento: Su amor por la música y por su Universidad.
