<text>The main objectives of this paper are: to present the professional work of Federico castro and his influence on the dancing development of our culture. To set a background to file and publish material related to dance for present and future generations of students and professional dancers that can be used as a guideline for their creations and to establish a consulting resource for all the people interested in the information contained in this paper, since there is no document about the importance of figures like castro in the artistic environment of Mexico. The information related to the brief history of dance, the biographies of Isadora Duncan and Martha Graham and the biographical information of Guillermina Bravo and Federico Castro were taken from published documents and were completed with research, personal interviews and the testimony of the author. To build the choreographies file severa! programs, news papers and other documental written sources were collected in order to get the complete data of each of castro' s ·creations. Twenty five photographs of the choreographies and sixty five images of the mentionecl characters were included as a visual support to the text. From ancient times, we finally find the main source of the line traced by Federico castro as a dancer, teacher and choreographer. Since it is necessary to understand how he became a reference point for Mexican culture, the author analyzecl the relationships among people like Guilfermina Bravo and institutions like The National Ballet of Mexico that enabled the development of modem dance in our counby, in order to outline the profession9I career of the artist in this testimony. We need choreographers with the creative energy of Federico castro and publish~ material to establish the dance stock of our culture. </text>
