Comparative semiotic analysis of the plays: "La habitación· and "Pequeñas
certezas•. lnvestigation is documentary and is based on bibliographic and
newspaper material. Proposals from Armando Partida Tayzan, related to Mexican
theater and Benito Cañada Rangel related lo semiotics aspects and theater
semiology will be stressed. A brief outline on Mexican dramaturgy from 1950 to
2000 will be presented with the aim of explaining a panoramic view of the change
in thinking, thematic and types of writing in the second hall of 21" century. This
generation is named new dramaturgy. The most representativa dramatísts from the
first decade of 21"century will be presented, which are identified as the Dramatists
Generation and their way of writing will be known as ' Oramatism•, which brings out
the rupture with the Aristotelían structure. These dramatists state that narrative
depends on drama and dramatíc text from mimetic margins are broken. We
differéntiate between semiotics and theater semiology and explain those gins
recognized by readers and spectators. who carry social messages; signs which
universaliza under the perspective of globalization, making a difference between
Oramatism and postmodemism. Oramaturgy of Bárbara Colio is analyzed, their
transcendence, importance and legacy in the conlemporary Mexican dramaturgy.
We ratify that Colio is a representativa the Oramatists Generation and prove that
her writing is attached better to postmodernism aspects than dramatism. We
compare three theater signs shown in the plays "la habitación" and "Pequeñas
certezas": the rain, !he dog and the beach. These three signs reinforce the author's
themes: loneliness, death and desolation, reality of a globalized, postmodern and
mediatizad society. Postmodernity rather than Oramatism is the conclusion of this
analysis of "la habitación" and "Pequeñas certezas", leaving as a proposal a
reflection aboul dramatic Mexican theater and semiotic study of Bárbara Colio's

Análisis comparativo semiótico de las obras La habitación y Pequeiias certezas.
La indagación es documental y se respaldará de material bibliográfico y
hemerográfico. Se enfatizarán las propuestas de los investigadores Armando
Partida Tayzan referente al teatro mexicano y Benito Cañada Rangel en cuanto a
los aspectos de semiótica y semiología teatral. Se dará un breve bosquejo de la
dramaturgia mexicana partiendo de 1950 a 2000, con la intensión de explicar una
panorámica del cambio que se suscitó en el pensamiento, temática y formas de
escritura de la última mitad del siglo XX. Esta generación se nombrará Novísima
Dramaturgia. Se expondrá a los dramaturgos más representativos de la primera
década del siglo XXI . que se reconocerá como Generación Narratúrgica y su
fomna de escritura conocida como Narraturgia. La cual plantea la ruptura con la
estructura aristotélica. Estos dramaturgos afirman que lo narrativo se supedita a lo
dramático y se rompen los márgenes miméticos del texto dramático. Se hará una
diferenciación entre semiótica y semiología teatral. se explicarán aquellos signos
reconocidos por el lector y espectador, reiterativos de los mensajes sociales;
signos que se universalizan bajo la perspectiva de la globalización. marcando la
diferencia entre Narraturgia y Posmodernismo. Se analizarán las obras dramáticas
de Bárbara Colio, trascendencia. importancia y legado dentro de la dramaturgia
mexicana contemporánea. Se ratificara que Colio es repre$éi'ltáiite de la
Generación Narratúrgica y se comprobará que su escritura se anexa más a los
aspectos del posmodernismo y no tanto a los narratúrgicos. Se compararán tres
signos teatrales mostrados en las obras La habitación y Pequeiias certezas: la
lluvia, el perro y la playa. Estos tres signos refuerzan los temas de la autora: la
soledad. la muerte y la desolación. Realidad de una sociedad mediatizada,
posmoderna y globalizada. Posmodernidad más que Narraturgia, es lo que se
concluirá en este análisis de La habitación y Pequetias certezas. Dejando como
propuesta una re flexión del teatro mexicano narratúrgico y estudio semiótico de la
