La creación del Colegio de Educadores Musicales del Estado Querétaro – CEMEQ, tiene como objetivo la formación permanente, así como la certificación de quienes ostenten la licencia para ejercer la docencia musical en cualquier nivel educativo. Esto se logrará a través de congresos, encuentros, foros nacionales e internacionales donde se intercambiarán ideas, metodologías y métodos de trabajo, la utilización de distintos recursos didáctico – pedagógicos; con el fin de conocerlos, aplicarlos y adecuarlos al entorno local, regional y nacional. La educación continua de las y los profesionales en las artes, eleva el nivel de competitividad en este rubro, así como la obtención de un alto grado de calidad en las disciplinas que coadyuvan a la formación integral de los individuos, es decir, diluir poco a poco y después eliminar, la falsa idea de que el arte es un “área de relleno” por ejemplo, en la educación básica, donde la mayoría de las escuelas nulifica y disminuye el trabajo artístico – musical, así como sus repercusiones en la integralidad de las personas. El CEMEQ será la mejor opción para que, docentes de diversas partes del país, obtengan capacitación constante en su profesión, cubran parámetros de revisión y evaluación permanentes de las instituciones en las que se desempeñen, elevando su eficacia y logrando un reconocimiento importante en su área. Al promover nuevas teorías, maneras de educar, apropiación de recursos tecnológicos; se brindará a las y los agremiados al Colegio, la oportunidad de competir por mejores sitios de trabajo, incluso a nivel internacional. Se pretende que el CEMEQ tenga una vinculación directa con docentes y estudiantes de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, así como con sus egresadas y egresados, ya que en su mayoría desempeñan alguna labor docente que va desde la impartición de clases de instrumento, formación de ensambles vocales e instrumentales, estimulación temprana, iniciación musical, hasta la asignación de puestos de alta responsabilidad en instituciones educativas.
